The UOC puts out new call for applications for grants co-funded by a research group

To promote the training of researchers in its different research groups, the UOC is awarding two grants for the production of theses in the following doctoral programmes: Society, Technology and Culture; Network and Information Technologies; Education and ICT; Humanities and Communication; Health and Psychology; Tourism; Bioinformatics; Business Management; and Law, Politics and Economics.

The Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) has published a new call for applications for grants co-funded by a research group and the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, for the writing of theses in the following doctoral programmes: Society, Technology and Culture; Network and Information Technologies; Education and ICT; Humanities and Communication; Health and Psychology; Tourism; Bioinformatics; Business Management; and Law, Politics and Economics. This funding initiative is aimed at promoting the training of researchers in the UOC's different research groups.

This programme is funded by the FUOC (Fundació per a la Universitat Oberta de Catalunya), through the internal budget of the university, and the UOC's research groups' budgets, and the deadline to apply is 29 May 2022.

Grant beneficiaries

The potential beneficiaries of a UOC grant co-funded by a research group at the UOC for a doctoral thesis include individuals who, at the time of submitting an application, fulfil the access requirements for the organized research period on a doctoral programme at the UOC, and have contacted a UOC research group that endorses and supports their thesis proposal.

The specific requirements of each doctoral programme can be consulted on the website of the UOC Doctoral School (section Call for Applications / General requirements and Admission requirements).

Grant allocation

The provisional selection of the candidates approved for the grant will be published on the UOC's e-Tauler website and by the UOC’s Doctoral School on 6 June 2022. A period for appeals will begin at that time, lasting until 9 June 2022.

The final decision regarding the call will be published by 16 June 2022.
