New edition of the RRI course for researchers, designed by the UOC, the UAB and the University of Bristol

Following the success of the first edition of the “Responsible Research and Innovation for Researchers” course, the UOC is opening up its classrooms once again to train doctoral degree students, researchers, administrative staff, funding agencies and tertiary sector agencies seeking to understand RRI and learn how to apply it in their day-to-day work. The objective: Bridge the gap between theory and practice for RRI.

Designed by the UOC in collaboration with the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and the University of Bristol, the course will be led by Eduard Aibar, professor at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, and taught for the second consecutive year by Rosina Malagrida, coordinator of IrsiCaixa's Living Lab for Health in Barcelona. 

The course (taught online in English and with a study load of 3 ECTS) will begin on 20 February. It's easy to combine “RRI for Researchers” with your daily work. It promotes critical thought on the social role of the researcher, offers an introduction to the theory and practice of this concept and provides practical guidelines to harmonize the whole research and innovation process with and for society. Students will analyse their own case studies and receive personalized feedback.
