Sustainability

Sustainability is a key pillar of our strategy. The UOC's 2022–2025 Strategic Plan includes it as one of its main priorities, giving rise to the 2024–2025 Environmental Sustainability Strategic Plan.

The goals of this plan aim to make the UOC a more sustainable, healthier and environmentally responsible university, and to adopt measures to adapt to and mitigate climate change in order to achieve climate neutrality.

The UOC is steadily reducing its environmental impact. Between 2019 and 2023, we reduced emissions per enrolled credit by 20%.

We went from 2.08 to 1.67 kilograms of CO₂ per credit thanks to more efficient resource management. This annual 5% reduction commitment brings us closer to our goal of climate neutrality.
