Program
Swaeny Nina Kersaan will present her doctoral project Digital Value Tokens: Navigating User/Player Dynamics in Digital Culture, which aims to investigate how digital tokens authenticate actions and transform relationships in digital culture. Drawing on authors such as Simmel, Flusser, McLuhan, Marx, and Goffman, she proposes to rethink these tokens not merely as economic measures, but as expressions of performance, and play. On this occasion, she will present the first chapter, New Era Has Begun – Enter The Frontier, focusing on EVE Frontier and the artistic residency Change Makers.
And, Lucia Campanella Casas will present the project Argot (2023–2025), funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, which has just concluded. Campanella will share the main achievements and challenges of the project. Argot has explored how early 20th-century anarchist newspapers promoted world literature through translations, highlighting the key role of women and applying innovative Digital Humanities methodologies and hermeneutic analysis, combined with more traditional methods such as close reading.
