Visiting researchers

Andrea Flanegan-Bórquez is a professor in the Department of Educational Psychology at the Universidad de Valparaíso, Chile. Invited by the research group Gender and ICT (GENTIC), she will work with Dr. Fàbregues during her stay to expand knowledge about mixed methods in European contexts and receive feedback on the methodology and results of the FONDECYT project.

Ricardo Greene Flaten is an associate professor at the School of Architecture at Universidad San Sebastián, Chile. Invited by the research group Care and Preparedness in the Network Society (CareNet), this research visit aims to strengthen the working alliance with the research group, provide feedback on ongoing projects, and discuss possibilities for future endeavors and joint applications for Chilean and European funds.

Juan Manuel Henao Bermúdez is an associate professor at the Instituto Departamental de Bellas Artes, Cali (Colombia). Invited by the research group Communication Networks and Social Change (CNSC), the aim of his stay is to strengthen academic ties and interdisciplinary collaboration between the two institutions in the field of technology, art and communication.

Cora van Leeuwen is a PhD researcher at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and University of the Western Cape. Invited by the Unit of Digital Societies of the research group Communication Networks and Social Change (CNSC), the goal of her PhD is to understand the role of ageism and technology on the ageing experience.

Ana Laura Rivoir is a lecturer at the Faculty of Sociology of the University of the Republic, Uruguay. Invited by the Communication Networks & Social Change (CNSC) research group, the aim of her stay is to review the state of the art on the process of digitalisation of contemporary societies and its post-pandemic acceleration.

Giacomo Cuoco is a PhD candidate at the Department of Philosophy of the Università degli Studi Roma Tre (Italy). Invited by the Technopolitics unit of the research group Communication Networks & Social Change (CNSC), his research project aims to study the recent developments of platform capitalism in urban european environments and its impact on social, economic and political dynamics for urban citizens. 

Viviana Asara is an assistant professor at the Università di Ferrara (Italy). Invited by the research group Urban Transformation and Global Change Laboratory (TURBA Lab), her research interests mainly focuse on Social movements, participation and conflict; Democracy; Policies of social and ecological transition; and Political ecology.
