New book on the Social Perceptions of Science and Technology Survey 2016

08/01/2018
The last report on the social perceptions of science and technology in Spain has just been published by the Spanish Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness and the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT).

The publication is a follow-on to the study that, since 2002, gathers the results of the biannual Spanish survey on social perceptions of science and technology. Aimed to increase knowledge about the relationships between science, technology and society, this study analyzes citizens' perceptions about scientific and technological developments, and about their capacity to improve quality of life.

Milagros Sáinz and José Luis Martínez-Cantos, director and postdoctoral researcher in Gender & ICT respectively, have contributed to this publication with a chapter that explores gender differences in these social perceptions of science and technology, considering also the influence of age and education level.
