UOC to offer its perspective on RRI at ONCO Emergence Forum Barcelona

ONCO Emergence Forum Barcelona is a meeting point for all the different stakeholders in the field of oncology. It will involve talks, cross-cutting scientific sessions and brainstorming challenges on research, innovation and the future of oncology.

UOC Vice President for Globalization and Cooperation Pastora Martínez is to take part in a plenary session titled “How patients, researchers and clinicians can go into policymaking to foster Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI)” on 22 June. It will address responsible research and innovation in health and the need to align the sector’s evolution and results with the expectations of society.

ONCO Emergence Forum is a networking conference focused on creating multidisciplinary consortia, networks and collaborative projects in oncology that can apply for bilateral or EC calls for proposals. The forum is for researchers, postgraduate students, hospital staff, project managers, entrepreneurs and company representatives, among others. Admission is free to all activities.

Biocat is a member of this initiative, which is part of the European Onconet Sudoe project co-funded by the Interreg Sudoe programme. The aim is to build a permanent network of excellence in oncology by mobilizing leading members of the health sector in southwestern Europe to promote prevention, diagnosis, care and translational research.
